Thank you to everyone who made it downtown to celebrate another Good Ol’ Days weekend! The 35th annual festival was enjoyed by many and the beautiful weather was a great addition to the weekend.
Shopping on Friday night was a nice addition to the festival. Hopefully we have the ability to add even more vendors for Friday night shopping next year!
Saturday, at the Plaza Stage, Spike Blake and Half of Dueling Pianos put on three great shows throughout the day. There was a lot of singing along from the crowd which always makes for great entertainment.
We want to send out a BIG thank you to Charlotte Thompson, Janelle Tate and everyone that made the FREE Children’s Fair a huge success. The Empress Event Center was full of kids all day on Saturday to take part in all the activities.
The street dances had excellent entertainment both nights with Bill and Monica’s Excellent Adventure on Friday night and Half of Dueling Pianos on Saturday night. Bill and Monica’s Excellent Adventure, from Joplin, MO, played some great 90’s music. It was definitely easy to find yourself singing along with this group. Then, Half of Dueling Pianos entertained everyone on Saturday night with another great performance!
We received rave reviews about another excellent Red Garter show. Ken Clary and his saloon gals and guys never disappoint. We appreciate all the hard work they put in to make it a great event every year!
